Golf Course Update

Good evening,

We are writing to keep you up to speed with the adverse weather conditions and how these have effected us as a business.

Closing the golf course is a last resort for all of us and something that we don't do lightly. This has a knock-on effect on other aspects of the business which we obviously want to minimise. We work hard year round to keep the course in optimal condition but, at times when it is unsafe to do so, the course must close.

It is currently the wettest year we have recorded since we began tracking this data in 2006, and 6 weeks of the year still to go. We have had 1354mm of rain on site this year. Across our 83 hectare site, this works out at over 1,000,000,000L of water, with the majority of this coming since July. We have had 160mm of rain in the first two weeks of November alone which equates to 53 Olympic sized swimming pools.

We appreciate the frustrations that come with closing the course, but are continuing to work hard to get the course open at whatever capacity is possible.

Kind Regards,

Farrington Park
