Good Morning,
I am writing to explain how the club will run whilst we prepare for the "Race to Woodhall Spa".
On Saturday 6th May, the green staff will be working later into the day in order to make sure that the course is set up appropriately for the event. With this in mind, we ask all members to give the green staff priority for the day and we thank you in advance for your patience. There will also be some representatives from England Golf on site to prepare banners, sign in areas and scorecards for the Sunday. The last available tee times for Saturday will be 2PM.
On Sunday 7th May, the Duchy Course and Driving Range will be closed. The Pro Shop, Manor Course and Clubhouse will remain open and we ask all members to come and show their support in a number of ways on the day. We will be asking for help with the following roles throughout the day:
Starting Duties: 7:30am – 15:00pm
This is done in two shifts 7:30am – 11:10am. Starters gap. 11:50am – 15:00pm
Play Control - Spotters -Hole 1: 8am – 3pm - Hole 13: 10:30am- 6pm - obviously these can be split in to shifts - we don't expect anyone to do the whole day.
All help will be greatly appreciated and will be compensated with Free Tea/Coffee, Bacon Roll, Free Lunch and a Drink to accompany.
Any volunteers will need to be available for a meeting with England Golf on either Friday 5th May or Saturday 6th May - but I will confirm once I have any volunteers details.
We are all extremely proud to be hosting our first England Golf event and think that it is testament to Andy and his team's hard work through a challenging winter period.
If you have any questions around the day or would like to get in touch regarding helping out, please email me via kev@farringtonpark.co.uk
Kind regards,
Kev Mortimer
